Radioactive iodine

Hi, have anyone recently had radioactive iodine and what side effects did you experience? I’m waiting for my appointment date. Thank you in advance xx #graves

I had it some years ago, other than being a bit tired I had no side effects at all. I went hypo very quickly and have been very well on Levo since.

Had RAI 10 years ago, apart from a slight sore throat which only lasted a couple of days, no side effects whatsoever, eventually went hypo and doing great on Levo alone.

Just noticed your avatar so would add that I have enough energy on Levo to look after my 8 horses / ponies !!

I'm another who had RAI without any problems Rachpiki. I now take Levothyroxine without any problems.
