Wonder if my eyes are mirroring what my body needs. Eyes feel awful, heavy fatigued.

Does anyone else feel it in their eyes when they are undermedicated?
hi, that's exactly how my eyes feel, I've just been up to 50mg, kidney dipping, cholesterol up, im so fed up one thing is leading to the other, more tests more consultants! more tablets! sorry for rant 🙂
That's what I get and if I take a higher dose, I feel like I am staring.. it's a very fine balance. Would be worth you seeing an optician to see if you have the start of TED thyroid eye disease which can occur in hypo pts with Hashi's as well as hyper.
Me too. No problems if appropriately medicated
I do indeed!
Eyes big problem for me. Blurring, heavy, sore, spots in front, swelling around lids, then shrinking back...
Have been to opticians twice in 6 months have cataracts but she says not meeting criteria for procedure yet (goal post been changed recently, have to be critical! Just my luck lol).
However, I have now also been diagnosed with another autoimmune disease: Sjogrens syndrome, and dry eyes a big feature of that.
I use blephasol eye lotion for cooling and cleansing. I am prescribed viscosity tears eye drops. My husband also purchased a microwave eye mask for me.
The eye mask is fantastic when my eyes at their worst. As it says, warm in microwave, lay back and rest it over eyes. Bliss! Heaviness, soreness abated, and get to have 15 minutes relax too!
Hope some of this helps, good luck.
Dry eyes are dreadful. I’ve got an eye bag and it is good. Even a hot squeezed out face cloth is good but it cools quickly so you’ve got to keep putt8ng it under the tap. Make sure you get preservative free eye drops and I’m sure you know to keep putting them in regularly throughout the day and not just morning and night. I even put mine in if I waken during the night. I’ve used Blephasol wioes on my kids and I quite like them too. You can close your eyes and massage your eyelids too, that’s good.
I do wonder about sight tests and whether vision is affected by these affects of thyroid hormone level on eyes. Seems a waste of money buying specs....
Yes, my eyes feel like they are under pressure and about to pop out of my head. No physical symptoms (they appear normal when I look in a mirror), just the sensation. And when I exert myself too much while I'm running I get strange vision. Sometimes, but not always, double vision, especially when the light isn't so strong. Not good when I'm running down a mountain in the middle of a race, I had to stop and walk in one last year
Yes, my eyes have felt heavy and fatigued for a long time. In creases in NDT increased this feeling and after an increase it was worse; my eyeballs felt as if they were stinging. I’m currently trying T3 and so far this appears to be helping. I hope you find some relief. My thoughts are with you.
