After 20 years my GP has refused to continue prescribing Liothyronine. The endo who originally prescribed it has since retired and the endo unit told my doctor that they won't prescribe it either. I've asked for a private prescription to allow me to buy my own and that has also been refused by my soon to be EX doctor.
I have reduced from 3 x 20mcg a day to 1 a day to try and reduce the shock to my system of stopping this medication. My weight is steadily increasing, my memory is steadily decreasing, I'm cold, my skin is drying out etc, etc. This can't go on so.......
I don't want to order online without knowing that I'm going to a reputable source, but I'm getting desparate. I'm afraid that I can't post my results as I don't have them and am in the middle of a change of doctor. It has taken years to find where I feel good so I don't need advice on dosage at the moment.
Who knows my new doctor may be more understanding, but in the meantime, can anyone help me with supplier suggestions where I don't need a prescription.

You will see from the following that we have a T3 campaign and make an appointment to see your MP and complain about the withdrawal of the only Active thyroid hormone. Levo is T4 only and has to convert to T3 and some of us cannot do so effectively. T3 is a life-saver in many ways. It is all down to the greed of the pharma companies putting the price sky high and it would be good if there was an investigation as to the pricing. It's not as if it is brand 'new' to the market and needed years of trials before being produced.
Members who know where to source will respond to you by private message as no info is given on the open forum of where to source prescription medications. So I will close your post to answers but you will get private messages from members.
