I had to laugh!

So I have had a cough since Christmas , and I have been really tired. I was convinced my thyroid was to blame so I have been to see a nurse at the docs. She was lovely.

We started by me saying I didn't want anti biotics unless absolutely necessary , cos they mess up my system, and her saying it looks like I need a chest X-ray and some thyroid blood tests.

We ended, half an hour later, with me leaving with a prescription for anti Bs for tonsillitis and ear drops for an ear infection!!

So my question is what is the minimum time I need to leave between thyroxine and anti biotics, please.

I woud google for "Levothyroxine + (name of antibiotic)" to see if there is any information, also check the patient information leaflet.

I've taken Amoxycillin, Ciprofloxacin, and Azithromycin and I've just made sure I check the leaflet and keep Levo as far away as possible. Easy for me because I take it in the early hours of the morning when I visit the bathroom.
