Amounts of thyroxine

What’s the highest amount of levothyroxine people are on/have been on please. I’m pregnant and taking 250mg which seems to suit at the moment, it’s been rising slowly for the 20 weeks I’ve been pregnant. The consultants have pretty much left me in charge of my dose.

Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose increase. Dose should be constant between testing.

Testing TSH, FT3 and FT4 plus TPO and TG thyroid antibodies

What about vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels? Obviously B12 and folate levels are particularly important when pregnant

Are you under care of an endocrinologist?

What are you most recent results and ranges on these

Some people can be on 400-500mcg. Usual dose amounts are 1.8 mcg per 1kg

What is the Ft4 level? If still in range then you are not taking to much. You can go over and then it is more about how you feel.

I would buy a BP monitor and take your own pressure at set points in the day. You want to make sure your BP is not going to high because of excess T4. BP will be higher if having a baby so i would start monitoring for good practise. It could be an early warning system for any problems.
