Recently my tablets for my thyroid under active had to be upped to 275 mg this has caused my skin to become terrible it was always dry but now i feel lousy all the time im constantly scratching my skin its as rough as sand paper and feels very thin at same time i have had under active for years and every time we think we have it settled it gets worse and tablets keep going up any advice please

Do you have Hashimotos, also called autoimmune thyroid disease, diagnosed by high thyroid antibodies?
Have you had vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin tested? These are often too low and affect thyroid
How long since dose increased? Bloods should be tested 6-8 weeks after each dose increase
Did you have different brand of Levo for the 25mcg? Not all brands suit everyone
You are entitled to printed copies of your own blood test results and ranges. Add most recent results here if you have them
Or on new post if you need to get hold of them from receptionist at surgery. Or may be available online if you register
