Lower back ache

Hello . You are such a wonderful community. I have a question to ask . Most days ( for the last 3 years) I wake up with terrible pain in my lower back. It goes away after I’ve been upright for about an hour. Have you experience this? Is it dehydration, adrenals , low T3 or something else?

Thank you so much

I have this and it goes away as soon as I get up and moving. Mine is actually caused by having one leg shorter than the other and consequently putting pressure on my back. I see an osteopath occasionally to put me back into place and I’ve just started yoga to help regain some suppleness. I take T3 on its own.

Could it be that your mattress isn't suitable and not supportive enough? Is it too firm or too soft for your needs? Is it an old one and needs replacing?

This is what I thought initially. I am now on my second mattress ( all within 2 yrs) , firmer then the last one . Its getting a little expensive 😂

Iam also low on Cortisol in the evening and Morning. Would that made any difference?

I don't know if low cortisol would cause back pain.

My cortisol, after supplementing to lower it and leaving it too long before retesting, was almost a flat line at the very bottom of all the ranges, and it hasn't caused me lower back pain. I do get it occasionally but that's from an old injury many years ago and it's usually gardening that sets it off again.
