Is there a fluoride link to endocrine problems?

I read an article years ago stating there may be a possible link to the increase in Type 2 diabetes linked to the fluoridisation of drinking water. I lived in an area of Derbyshire which had natural occurring fluoride in the water table which the locals called 'goitre water'. It may be an incredible coincidence, but of the residents in a small cul-de-sac the next door neighbour had Type 2 diabetes, the other side had an overactive thyroid, and her daughter-in-law also developed an over active thyroid, the guy next door but one had an underactive thyroid and after two years living there my thyroid also packed up. Is it a price worth paying for good teeth?

Not as far as I'm concerned it isn't. And, it doesn't even give you good teeth. They only real reason for fluoridating the water supply is to get rid of industrial waste cheaply!

Derbyshire is notorious for thyroid problems, anyway. Never heard of Derbyshire Neck?

Haha no I haven't heard of Derbyshire neck. I know they film the League of Gentlemen around there, there's summat in the water for sure.

It's not the name of a film. It's just that people in Derbyshire are more prone to having goitres, due to lack of iodine in the soil.
