CMT foot is a sign for thyroid diabetes and pituitary Disease.

And neuropathy.

You can get pain develop in your growing phase between teens and adulthood. Then it reappear in your middle age and old age with loss of power in not only feet but arms.

It can be chemical endocrine or diabetic.

The various sites still mention diet. As if it's the be all and end of why we get diabetes..

Both type one and type two are aultoimmune.

As a diabetic nurse and a foot clinic podiatrist and numerous doctors had not a clue I don't recognise what they are looking at. All they can say is weight or your over weight.

It's a foot shape which is associated with neuropathy and as I said endocrine/immune disorders

It can be progress weakness of the foot and pain later in life effecting the lower leg and hands in the same way.

The pain is not growing pain it's neuropathy. Different genes are involved.

You need to watch out for chemical sensitivities.

The use of chemotherapy and radiation.

I too have extremely high arches. My feet also appear to be prone to drop foot but that is not a significant problem. I am much older than 27! No known Hashimoto's, no known diabetes, some possible nerve issue.

did you used to be a policeman Rod?

(plantar fasciitis aka policemans heel. Hubby has it too - also flatfeet)

I now seem to have something similar limiting my walking to 3 hours, but I think it's more like ankle 'carpal tunnel' - veins protude, ankles swell, Achilles heel tendon seems shorter so doesn't work - reminds me of that lovely indian doc & actual tests ... I did have a link once.... J :D

Carpel Tunnel is linked and hormone based.
