Hi all,

ive just had a week off from taking any medication and it felt so great to feel normal again. To look into the bathroom mirror and see part of me there again.

After feeling really well i had an episode whilst watching a movie on prime, felt like i was having my brain drilled into. Next day woke up really crap and my vision all blurred and feeling really tired again. I remember feeling this way when i was working near some mobile phone masts and shortly after got diagnosed with thyroid disease.I think it may well be the EMFS as ive heard they can have those effects on us. Not sure why the EMFs some days they don't bother me and the next they do.

Anyway i took my medication today as felt wiped out by the TV and i had forgotten how terrible thyroid replacement therapy made me feel.

Within 20 minutes my eyes were weird looking and starring no-one at home kind of look. I assuming this look gives everyone else right of way permanently as i seemed to become invisible to all, including trolleys and baskets which people knocked into me as i tried to shop for some groceries. After about an hour i could barely make eye contact with my son and felt like i was in a world of my own. Next i started to feel suicidal and psychotic, thought i was going to stab myself in the head or jump in front of a bus took quite a lot of self restraint to stop myself. My thoughts went out to the fifty million Americans and god knows how many British people taking this medication and for my son who is also suffering with thyroid issues.

I am not going to take this medication tomorrow as it turns me into a lunatic with too much energy. In my opinion this medication is very dangerous and the fact that mine came with a packet of antipsychotics that make me binge feed, almost like a pig tells me the doctors already know the side effects.

So guys looks like I'm going to become very inactive but sane. Looks like watching tv or movies on the computer may be out so i guess ill just lye here until things improve. Ive got my stock of grub to last a few days and also some Senna as ill think ill need some pretty soon wish me look guys. OH by the way ive tried to balance my thyroid with one of those adaptagens and it was going really well until the tv driller killer pumped me with a shite load of EMFs. They suck.

Gosh you poor thing. There are alternative to levo although not often prescribed on the NHS. Easy enough to get privately and some of us self treat. However there are lots of reasons by your levo might not bea greeing with you although it does sound like you are having a particualry bad reaction to it. Sometimes your body just cannot utisle the thyroid hormone and it becomes a bit toxic ( Ive forgotten the right word). Thismight be due to low ferritin or vitamin d or flolate and B12 is often lowwhich has symptoms of its own.Thereis a lotthat can be done to improve you health so dont feel it isall hopeless. If you could get your latest blood results from your GP and post I imagine there will be plenty of suggestions of ways forward.

Which medication are you taking? What brand? The majority of people do not react to it in this way. And, I have never heard of levo coming with a packet of antipsychotics. That is not normal.

Levo is not dangerous, it's only a hormone and perfectly harmless if used correctly. But, people often have bad reactions to the fillers in the tablet. In which case, the thing to do is to change the brand, not stop it altogether. Because, if you need thyroid hormone replacement, and you take nothing, you are just going to get sicker and sicker.

I agree with mandyjane, you should post your bloods here and let's see what's been tested and what the results were. Could be that your doctors aren't doing the right tests. x

I sure hope you keep someone with you at all times & if you feel suicidal, you should immediately get medical help. You shouldn't have been at the store feeling like you did and asked a friend to go.

Hi please follow up with some results. I'm sure we can help but we need to know what you current levels are and the ranges so we give the correct advice. Often it's something that can easily be put right, allergy to the fillers in the medication or being on too much or too little medication and ibknow, and understand that treatment seems a nightmare at first but often is easily sorted thoughbtge end product can take a little time.

Hope you are feeling a little better today
