Yes. Are you being monitored yearly with ultrasound scans? What do your doctors say? Mine was squashing my trachea at night and had started to wrap around blood vessels had to come out

Yes I get an ultrasound and blood work every year. Just had one in December. I went to. A hospital someday er in a bigger town than mine and was ran through a lot of tests and car scan. All good. Had three doctors tell me that the thyroid mass is not the cause and my esougous is clear. Then one told me they could see it starting to touch the trachea. Was released today and breathing better. I have scoliosis and arthritis and neck pain for awhile now. Could be that

I think it's best you return to dr, tell him/her your symptoms and say you want another scan. I had mine scanned a couple of years ago but no mention was made of rescanning annually. It looks bigger to me but doesn't cause me any breathing problems (yet!)

Hi jbburton,Have a look at this link and see if this happens if you raise both hands above your head, If it does you will need to speak to your endocologist.

It’s called the Pemberton sign, I had this and my thyroid had grown into the walls of my chest cavity, had a thyroidecomy in 2009.

Hi I had a multi nodular goitre kept going hyper every few years I kept saying I felt pressure on my windpipe did a ct angiogram and saw windpipe slightly leaning to the right...no big deal.they said. ..so I kept putting up with it but when I went hyper again they decided to remove surgically, I said to the surgeon please look downwards into behind bone. .had op done and surgeon said the goitre was going downwards and a had a mass just bigger than a golf ball behind the bone at top.of chest where is says not a lot of spare room for a growth that size...always trust what your body is saying to u ...good luck

The first I knew about a thyroid problem was walking up a very steep hill and my trachea moved I couldn't breathe, I went to the doctors and was sent for an ultrasound it was a large goiter which was 4cm in size.

That was two years ago and I had my thyroid removed because of it in Oct 2015. I am now well and self medicating on NDT and obtaining my own blood tests.
