Hi all brief history I’ve got no thyroid and I take 125 levothyroxine daily.

Haven’t got all my thyroid results but doctor wants to see me as my TSH is 46!!!

Feel absolutely awful. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

TIA

Do you know your B12, iron (e.g. ferritin), FT4, FT3 or any other results?

I am somewhat surprised you are not on any B12 or iron - given the very low levels two years ago.

So forgot that. I have b12 injections every 3 months. I don’t know any other thyroid levels as yet only my TSH is showing up.

Maybe you just need a higher dose?

I have hypothyroidism but my brother had his thyroid gland removed due to cancer and he is also on 125mcg of Levothyroxine and is well. There must be something else wrong. Sorry I can't help but best of luck!

I don’t agree, it’s very worrying for keb5322 to suggest that there’s something else wrong. We’re not doctors, just sharing our experiences. We all need different amounts of thyroid hormone, for one thing the amount is related to body weight / height. Where there’s high TSH and person feels poorly, the first logical explanation is that they need a higher dose.
