If you want to go blond, I think you'd need to see a professional colourist.

As your hair is very dark it would, I believe (am not a hairdresser) need to be lightened before having a different colour.

Why don't you try on some wigs of different colours to see what suits best, rather than going the whole hog and then not liking yourself when you look in the mirror after paying out £££££s :)

I've had it blond before but as I said in my earlier post, I stopped dying it as my hair was in such bad condition with the Hypothyroidism.

I dye mine dark as my hair is thin and has a lot of pigmentation in it so takes ages to go blonde so does the condition of my hair no good .. depends on how long it takes you to go blonde to what condition it will be in when done.

A lot of people only have streaks put in when grey then you won't get the badger look which one block colour will give you when it grows out ,

If your hair grows quickly you will have to do the roots every 2 weeks which is a pain in the bum..

I dye mine a sort of golden colour ( as it was when I was young)! Use cheap as chips Nice n Easy and always use the enclosed conditioner. Then just touch up roots the next few months with matching kit. Not ready to go grey yet. 😀

Be warned as well that boxed hair dyes come out a coupler of shades darker than what you want so probably best to go to a hairdressers to have it done.

A hairdressers called Celly's I think is international so should be one near you they only charge £11.99 for a colour , £11.99. for cut and £11.99 for a Blow dry or £11.99 to do the roots..

I just go for the colour as I don't trust them cutting hair but some are ok some not so good, but the colour is same as other hairdressers and you don't have to book you just sit and wait to get it done,

Its worth it as they do it all for you and wash it off ,

its not much more expensive than a box of colour and saves getting hair dye all over the bathroom :)

Leave it grey! World is full of middle aged/older women with grey hair died blond. So boring. Get some decent products specifically for grey hair. Try White Hot Hair. Get a good hair cut. And rock it!!! If you don’t already wear it get some red lipstick. Look on Pinterest for other women rocking their grey hair.

Grey hair is very on trend at the moment. I am 64 & love having grey hair, if you use silver shampoo it will make it look much brighter & I find, having very dry hair it seems to soften it too. After all it is your natural colour & no other colour will suit you as much. Colouring hair put too many chemicals on your head, you wouldnt sit with those chemicals on your hands for 40 minutes, why put them on your head. xx
