I have been hypothyroid for about six years or so (at least I was 'diagnosed' six years ago! It was such a struggle to get Dr's to listen) also diagnosed with fibromyalgia and have had autoimmune arthritis for about 10 years. I'm really grateful for all the interesting and informative posts that you all have been putting in and for the help I received to my initial question. So glad I've plucked up the courage to join.

This is re Fibro and the doctor ran the Fibromyalgia Research Foundation. He stated that T3 is required to relieve symptoms due to being thyroid hormone resistant and only T3 works for patient:-
All blood testsfor thyroid hormones have to be at the earliest possible, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose and test and take it afterwards.
Once again, thank you so much. I have learned more in the last few hours than I have in the last few years. The next big step is finding a dr who listens!
