Just what the doctor ordered. I’m hopeful that it works. So far ive just felt crappy and achy- alot more in my stomach and legs than anything. Has anyone had experience with detoxing? What was it like for you?

On 4th day of detox
I had foggy head, no clear thinking and was very tired. Good luck with your detox, I wonder what your hair test results will be like after. 🌸
That does not sounds very good, did you feel better afterwards or was there anyimprovement?
Thanks, i hope it will be good
I’ve done it a few times. The first few days are rough - headaches and dreadful stomach ache and constipation but I combined mine with green juices so that’s maybe why.
If you do them for more than four days then to be the most effective you really ought to be doing them with enemas. People “in the know” will always advise of this.
The bottled juices are good for a week, but some come with major price tag like £75 a day! The last one I did I bought the key ingredients -charcoal powders, enema kit etc for £75 for 5/7 days and they provided a shopping list of fruit and veggies. That was a good one.
The best I ever did was the liver cleanse. I got the details on how to do it from the Humaworm website. Cheap and effective! I get lost on that website and in time will buy their powders etc
That does sound awful. Did you feel better afterwards or see any improvements?
Oh, I’ve never heard of this but it makes sense. My doc must be in the know, he didnt say anything 😄. Yeah, juices in the store are usually expensive. I have to wonder how fresh they are thiugh unless they make it right there?
I will have to check that out, this cleasing stuff is new to me. How didnyou know that it worked?
Yes , I felt better. Day 3/4 in and I had lots of energy. They are good for clearing out the system. I tried some more savoury juices aswell with added chilli, ginger and herbs that I found online.
The key is to keep at it for at least a week to feel a difference. Afterwards I’ll have salads for a week. Again, I google for great salads adding nuts, seeds, fish or chicken, gluten free soy sauce, chilli etc to keep them interesting.
I used to detox regularly & followed a detox I did in Thailand in 2004.
Liver flush drink
Lots of salads & raw veg
Colonic a day
Probiotics
Pre hypothyroid I’d get through it fine, lose a few pounds, have more energy, feel more vibrant & even the whites of my eyes where whiter over all a good refresh.
Haven’t done one for years but last did one in 2011 (now hypothyroid) & it had no effect what so ever.
I’m doing another one starting 31/4 for 7 days & it’s not as strict as my old one but still a colonic a day, salads, fruits etc & an infra red sauna a day .. if I manage ok I’ll up to 15 days.
Good luck with yours, and let us know how you get on.
It sounds like your body really benefitted from the detox pre- hypothyroid. Thats wonderful!
You had mentioned not having an effect from detox since becoming hypothyroid. Do you suspect there may be a reason other than being hypothyroid? More specifically, have you gotten your gut checked out (hair analysis/ cortisol test?)
I recently found out that my gut is not in good shape and I am not absorbing nutrients well and am thinking this is one reason why my detox is not going well. Just a thought, i hope that your detox is beneficial to you as well and will do.
I´m not a doctor, but I try to lern all about gut health and detoxing. I am sure, there is some clue in there. Your spleen and liver are responsible for your immune system, your antibodys. The liver is needed, not only to brake up the food, but also plays a role in holding toxines back, and pass them on to the lymphic system. As well it decides, where your fat will be stored: as energy for short term need inside the liver itsself (what gives us energie), or as fat inside of your body , for long term storage (what we don´t want).
So when there is a clogged up liver, all these functions are impaired.
I try to look at the hole cycle.
Taking care of your gut bacteria is ony part of the puzzle.
