I'm wondering now if I should start looking for another Thyroid Doctor.

So I went for another blood drawn on my TSH and haven't heard from my Specialist( had blood drawn yesterday) she usually calls the next day. Before I left I got a copy of my last TSH level which was 7.76 and the Specialist had left me a message to cut my pill of 5 mg of Methamizole in half and to take it every other day... I was shocked to hear this since I've been on this 2.5 mg of Methamizole for 5 months... her Receptionist told me to break the 2.5 mg and to take it every other day and I did for 2 weeks, but never heard from the Doctor within 2 weeks till the day before yesterday and she thought I was taking Methamizole of 5 mg every day, I told her not that it was half of that every Monday Wednesday and Friday once a day.... she's not keeping up with me....... anyways she said to just take 2.5 once a day Monday and Friday and see how it goes..... I'm wondering now if I'm going hyper or hypo or if I'm okay since I was taking Methamizole like her Receptionist told me... I didn't take it today... i guess I'll start taking it Friday 2.5 Methamizole and Monday only.... I should find out tomorrow my TSH level from yesterday.

I think you deserve better as they are supposed to be the experts.

On this forum it seems to me that members have improved their health by taking advice from others who've had similar experiences, due to the following failing them who ignore health/symptoms and doctors/endocrinologists who don't keep up with research or attempt to improve their patients health. Now that T3 has been banned there's little options.

Yes I've noticed here how many have been improving with the advice of others here since we're familiar with the symptoms. I'm realizing that if I'd listen to the Doctors advice I'd probably be going up on my TSH level but had to remind her three times that what she had already prescribe I had already been on... and Methamizole has side affects and I'd noticed that since the error of the receptionist telling me to take less of it I've been feeling better except I don't know if it's my heart since I had a pulled muscle on the left side of my chest, and been getting an off and on pain, hope it's not a sign of Graves trying to kick in since my dosage had been low from 2 weeks now, but today I should find out my TSH level since I had it taken the day before yesterday. I've been without med since yesterday and I don't know if the quarter size Methamizole I was taking did any good these last 2 weeks.

I would recommend you put up another post headed Hyperthyroidism or Graves and you will get more answers from those with hyperthyroidism. I am hypo so don't know as much as those who have/had Graves or hyperthyridism.
