Graves and joint pains

last bloods consultant said thyroid starting to come back under control again. blood test in 2 months remain on 25mg of carbimazole (had been upped from 20mg). now I know that 25mg is too much as I have got tremendous sudden cramps and now pain in foot that I find it hard to walk but that changed today to pain in middle of back like I'd been thumped. I have only taken 20mg today and will see if that helps. methinks from other symptoms I have gone hypo - unfortunately no blood levels given. at this point lots of bone clicks and crunches as well.

You are entitled to copies of your own blood test results.

UK GP practices are supposed to offer online access for blood test results. Ring and ask if this is available and apply to do so if possible, if it is you may need enhanced access to see blood results.

In reality many GP surgeries do not have blood test results online yet

Alternatively ring receptionist and request printed copies of results. Allow couple of days and then go and pick up. They can make nominal charge for printing but many will do so for free (£10 max and can not charge at all after May 2018)

major bone of contention - my surgery do offer online, etc. However, they keep mucking it up and I cannot log in with either my own or their "master" passwords so, to prevent even more stress, I decided to ask for results in person. Gets worse, receptionist said are you entitled to see them? Now these are events that any normal person may perhaps deal with but I get stressed when faced with these idiots and it makes my blood boil. I shall e-mail my hospital consultant and ask him for print outs of the last two lots of blood results. I gave up seeing him too as it was 20 mile round trip to be weighed, blood pressure taken, sit and wait for nearly an hour and see someone for 5 minutes. Not good :)

'Are you entitled to see them?' Yes, under the 1998 Data Protection Act! Just have it written down on a card, and hand it to her, so you don't have to speak. :)
