That's exactly what I am taking. 1.5 grains NP and 50mcg T3.

1.5 grains NP Thyroid. You are on 120mcg of T3? Or 120mg (2 grains) of NP Thyroid?

No thyroid gland here either.

Did a doctor prescribe the Armour thyroid and you are adding 20mcg cytomel to is from what you have left of cytomel from when you were on levo and cytomel?

That was my situation. I felt like I needed more T3.

Yep lol ;)

My endo did not agree with adding T3 to NDT so I experimented with what I had in stock. In the process I got a new PCP who is partly into functional medicine. He is totally fine with adding the cytomel. I dropped the NDT down from 2 grains because I have had a problem with conversion and I didn't not want to have too much rT3 kicking around.

So, is that what you wanted to know? If anyone else was dosing that way and surviving? lol

They say that can be associated with estrogen and progesterone also.

Have you had any hormone testing?

No I haven’t how do I test for that?

Either saliva or blood testing. Will your doc cooperate?

I’ll have to check would that be obgyn or thyroid doctor?

Either, but I would guess obgyn. They are more interested in the nether parts...:)

I understand that thyroid hormones are difficult to balance if an imbalance of sex hormones exists. Progesterone should be much higher than estrogen. If not you are fighting a losing battle.

A grain is between 60 and 65 milligrams. Different organisations use either 60 or 65 but the exact conversion is somewhere in the middle.

Based, if I remember correctly, on a grain of barley.

Commonly used for desiccated thyroid. (300 milligram aspirin tablets are that size because that is five grains. In the USA, you often see 325 milligram aspirin where they converted at 65 milligrams to the grain.)
