ME CFS unrelenting fatigue debate continues with letter in the Times and the best article I have read.

The link gives the best description of events for those of us that fall into the ‘fatigue of unknown origin’ category. For me and no doubt many of you the thyroid tests were incomplete, not read with competence or even interest, not frequent enough and when finally diagnosed levo was of little use. T3 in NDT has made a big difference but I am still labelled as perpetuating my illhealth due to my illness beleifs that need reprogramming. And if I would just get out of bed and exercise all would be well. Yeah right.

Article in the Canary with summary of major issues. And photo is the letter to the Times today. Given the CFS ME article noting low T3 levels earlier this week we all know only too well that exercise is really not a good idea until both symptoms and bloods tell a better story. So yet another reason for this awful management to be stopped. Remember they are doing this to children but under cover of child safety proceedings if the parents protest too much. When the files finally open you will be hearing many many tales of appalling and dangerous techniques applied to minors.

So another call to action:

If you haven’t already please sign this petition supporting the case to the GMC against the team that are still telling the world, and all health professionals, that if we sort our illness beleifs and exercise all will be well. Petition only open until the 25/03/18. International signatures welcomed.

We need to keep fighting back. I noticed a certain psychiatrist got his photo in the paper yesterday. Grr! And the fact that they continue to say that the negative reports are only from campaigners, also dismiss certain periodicals as low grade. The Dutch and Americans have rejected CBT and GET of PACE but they are deternimed to hang on by their finger nails here.

I've just started reading your link (having to go slowly - severely fatigued at the mo) and the response from the PACE researchers shows breathtaking chutzpah. They obviously feel very secure in their defence of scientific fraud. What use are medicine, and medical professionals, when scientific and ethical standards are so low? People like this devalue their entire profession.

Just reading Jennifer Brea's series of tweets - very cheering. :-)

Yes lots going on and trying to keep the issue in the media. Hoping for more national coverage in the next few days.
