I am a tuberculosis meningitis patient. I have completed 19 months of my treatment. I was given 2nd line tb drugs for 15 days later shifted back to 1st line tb drugs
I have a doubt, is Hypothyroidism a side effect of tb medicines ?
Because I have read that in some cases 2nd line medicines leads to Hypothyroidism. But I was only given 2nd line drugs for just 15 days!

My dad had latent TB which needed to be taken care as he needed biological meds for his bad psoriasis.
He was on antibiotics for 9 months and the meds he took was not the worst but I understood all antibiotics for TB can affect thyroid function. Some do cause hypothyroidism and it's mentioned on the leaflet with instructions to use thyroid meds at the same time.
My dad's TSH went from 2.5 to 5 during the antibiotics but those antibiotics are so heavy anyways destroying muscles so hard to say was it just a reaction to other side effects. After finishing the course of antibiotics he slowly bounced back so damage to muscles or to thyroid function was not permanent for him.
Do you have symptoms of hypo? How are your thyroid numbers?
In ideal case you bounce back and do not need thyroid meds.
I had ileo-caecal ( gut ) TB over 45 years ago and was taking medication for over 14 months. I was 27 at the time - and Hashimotos was not diagnosed until I was 59. I always felt unwell but put that down to the treatment and the ongoing Crohns ..... Now over 71 and feeling well
