I’ve just got the news I do in fact have a nodule (right side) around 1cm in size, I now wonder how many of these nodules are cancerous. I have my report and the advice is to see an Endo Specialist.
The good news is that the rest of the thyroid looks healthy and I’m told the chances of spreading is Nil.
Knowledge of previous experiences will be appreciated.
Thanks

Nodules <1cm are rarely malignant and of nodules >1cm 95% will be benign. A fine needle aspiration biopsy will confirm whether the nodule is benign or malignant.
I had that years ago ,my thyriod was very overactive, in the end they knocked it out with radio active iodine , it's a casual you swollen it x I was very hyper and shaking my hands used to tremble are you the same ?
It's only a 'hot' nodule which causes hyperthyroidism. Cold nodules don't cause symptoms until they become so large they press on a nerve causing pain or compress the trachea affecting breathing and swallowing.
