I was diagnosed with Hashi's in 2011 and as far as I was aware I'd never had a "flare".
However...it's now all gone pear-shaped! My husband and I moved to Spain in December and I found the lead up VERY stressful and since we have settled here my anxiety is absolutely horrendous. Really, really bad. I cry at the drop at the hat and keep getting palpitations so I even went to the docs today.
What I want to know is, does this sound like a flare and if so, how long do they last??I've been prescribed Diazepam and even though I hate taking prescription meds I am taking them for the sake of my sanity

I would say no, it sounds more like under-medication. A Hashi's flare is when your Frees suddenly rise in range and you become temporarily hyper. You sound more like hypo - which wouldn't be surprising with all that stress. When did you last have your levels tested?
My last blood test was in November (Medichecks) and everything was fine. I've just been for my blood test but made a big blunder. I normally take my T3/T4 around 5-6a.m. and last time I took my T3 twelve hours before but last night I completely forgot Will the results just show that my T3 is unnaturally low? To be honest it's maybe for the best as I came clean and told the doc I was taking T 3 so she's probably got me down as a potential heart attack victim!
Well, it will show a difference of some sort, depending on when you took that last dose. But, whether the doctor will understand the difference - or even notice - remains to be seen.
