Hi I was prescribed 2months worth of t3 by a consultant. Who can’t cintinue to prescribe as I am out of area. He has asked my Gp to continue with script but they have said no as it is blacklisted by my ccg. I am now trying to source my own supply as I literally have 6 tablets left ! I see cons end of April to check how I got on but this won’t be a true interpretation if I can’t find medication - can I ask anyone to help - I would be happy to accept private message if necessary thank you in advance Lesley

Finding t3 in uk or out
Poppyrocks369,
You can't get T3 in the UK without a prescription.
The quickest delivery from Europe is likely to be 7-10 days after ordering so you may want to reduce your T3 dose to eke out the tablets you have left.
You can challenge your GP and the CCG.
Tell your GP that the CCG does not have the authority to tell GPs what not to prescribe and you believe your GP is in breach of GMS contract by withdrawing treatment you have been told you need. Say you have been well on Liothyronine and wish to continue taking it. Attach the BTA guidance for patients and GPs.
The BTA issued guidance that patients doing well on T3 should not have their prescriptions with-drawn. See FAQS for patients and GPs in british-thyroid-association...
CCGs do not have the authority to tell GPs what not to prescribe. Individual GPs, not CCGs, could be found in breach of the General Medical Services contract if they do not prescribe treatment patients have been told "they need".

The GPC has warned that GPs would be in breach of the GMS contract and could get into legal trouble by following the orders and refusing to prescribe patients treatments they have told them they need.

CCGs are expected to do impact consultations with the public and stakeholders before implementing change. Failure to do so leaves them open to legal challenge so check whether your CCG did an impact consultation before advising your GP to withdraw T3.
Email or ring your endocrinologist (or their secretary) saying your GP refuses to prescribe on grounds of cost
Ideally go see your MP, or at least write to them too
Also write to Lord O'Shaughnessy too
