Yes the pregnancy news is fantastic. I do find her advice re Hashi's helpful, however, not sure about her theory on possible remission of the disease.

Hi Baobabs, apologies to you & Shaws at my delay, much unexpected car trouble & mixed up life by default - regarding your reply...

I wonder about that too as( This is my personal opinion) Many people fall back to having the very foods that cause them harm , myself included , so long term will Hashimoto's ever really be in remission for people like me?

Better late than never Boohbette! Well I understand what you are saying but there must be folk who do stick to the recommended diet protocol. I certainly manage to but it would be interesting to know if anyone engaged in this forum has gone into remission. My GP looked at me like I'd grown a second head when I initially suggested this was my hope. She actually claims to be in remission.

When I mention remission, no one really responds. Remember most folk on this forum appear to be struggling with symptoms, levels and medication options and so perhaps this forum is not such a good bet for this particular topic. It would be enlightening to hear some accounts of remission.

I wonder if I can ask a lady I met that I know has thyroid issues and a functional medicine doctor caring for her while she did Dr.W protocol, if she has deemed her in remission . I'll post if I get any info- have a nice day & weekend Baobabs 😊🌈
