Back to normal

Hi

I posted a couple of weeks ago to say I’d been changed from Liothyronine Sodium to Liothyronine Hydrochloride and I was feeling dreadful.

Back on my usual meds again and I’m feeling great!!

Except for the weight gain around my middle. One of the things I noticed when on the different meds was that I was becoming really ‘wide’ across the hips. Well the ‘wide’ persists even though I feel back to myself in every other way.

It is amazing when you are on the correct hormones/dose and feel back to normal.

I have been on T3 only for about 4 years and never lost weight but I didn't need to.

I lost weight by going gluten-free over the past 4 months but I didn't need to lose weight which I didn't expect, so daughter told me to be careful not to go below the minimum weight for my height, so am now increasing amount of calories to raise it again (but still staying gluten-free). nearer to what I was previously.

I’ve been on it for about 20 years now and hoping that the ‘belly’ I acquired while off my usual sodium ‘blend’ for will soon regularise.
