What are the best probiotics for hashimotos?

Has anyone tried Pure Encapsulations Probiotic 50B - I've heard they are really good quality, but I wanted to see if anyone on here has tried them? Also, I can't swallow large pills, so I was also wondering how big they were before I went and ordered them. I've figured the largest capsule I can take is 2cm long.

Thanks in advance :)

I use them and they are not very large capsules.

Thank you. Where do you order yours from? I've seen they need to be refrigerated but can only order from America...so I'm worried that the bacteria won't survive...!

Pure Encapsulations cannot be ordered directly from the US for UK residents. They will not sell you.

Purebio.co.uk have the exclusivity of sale in the UK. Currently, this product is out of stock. Usually, it is shipped first class and comes wrapped with ice-pack.

If you have not been on probiotic before, the recommendation is to start on a lower dose. 5 billion, for example. This one, too, is out of stock.

There are other stockists who buy directly from Pure Bio as well. However, they don't stock those products specifically. They have other probiotics such as ProFlora 50B (also by Pure Encapsulations).

Bio Kult can be an option to start with and it doesn't need any refrigeration.

I like Pure Encapsulations products. If you can't source this right now and are looking for an alternative, you might consider Klaire Labs Ther-Biotic Complete. Very reasonable size capsules. :)

I use Klaire Labs, too! Ther-Biotic Complete along with other products. Ther-Biotic Complete has 25+ billion CFU and it may be a bit of a push for someone who hasn't had any before. Some might tolerate a strong start and some might not especially those with Hashimoto's as it might also aggravate their immune system.

Ah ok, thanks for the heads up! I've currently been taking Culturelle (15 billion CFUs) for about 8 months, and thought I should try and increase my dose - do you think that moving onto Ther-Biotic Complete first should be ok?

Ah thank you! :) I've had a look at these - do you order them through amazon? I just saw a couple of reviews saying they don't ship with an ice pack - did you find this to be the case?

I usually order them from naturaldispensary.co.uk/cat.... They are, too, out of stock at the moment. They usually come with a small ice pack. If they were refrigerated properly all the way, the manufacturer indicates that they can stay alive/effective for 48 hrs - max 72 hrs.

yourhealthbasket.co.uk/ also stocks them.

Before you order, call and check to make sure they are sent 1st class and with an ice pack. This is what I always do.

I have never ordered them from Amazon.

Great suggestion - thanks so much!

I've ordered from yourhealthbasket.co.uk and from detoxpeople.eu (they charge more). I think researcherUK 's suggestion to phone and confirm their packing method is a good one. I notice they make a powder with 100+ billion CFUs, as well.
