Mhrmzi,
TSH >2.0 indicates your thyroid is struggling but most doctors won't diagnose hypothyroidism until TSH is over range or FT4 below range.
When you have your next thyroid blood test arrange it early in the morning when TSH is highest and fast (water only) as TSH drops after eating and drinking.
Thank you so much for helping me, again! the blood test was done at about 9am and i was fasting. But mayyyybe my supplements taken at 530am (coconut oil + ashwagandha) got in the way huh.. i did tell the nurse but she said, its ok it wont affect the result.. but.. maybe it does?
Mhrmzi,
The time you tested was good. Coconut oil and ashwagandha supplements won't have affected the thyroid test or results.
So maybe then, i am indeed have ‘subclinical hypo’.. 2.93 is still something like u said my thyroid is struggling.
I will try to correct my diet and see after 6 months does it change anything especially my nodule - hope it stays put - no growth.
maybe there’s inflammation inside my body due to what i eat.. and as of now im trying to uptake my iron. Maybe once my iron level is good, my thyroid wont be struggling as much? Perhaps.. im not sure too.. just by reading online. I wish i can see my doc soon but she’s so busy so this forum is all i have left and im glad i found it.
Thank you SO much for your kind replies, it helps.
