Thanks clutter.... maybe because it such a fussy diet no one has tried it!! I’ll try anything to make me feel better and get these pesky antibodies off my lovely thyroid!! 😊
Thanks plinka I will have a look at the book, I haven't started yet as I was a little put off by the breakfast options but maybe the book will help and give me a kick into starting it!
Yes let me know how you get on with your antibodies it will be interesting good luck I have my fingers crossed that your hard work will pay off 😊
Thanks , wow that’s great news your feeling so great on this. I adopted some of the protocol but I haven’t fully committed I actually found a drop in carbimazole has made such a difference to my physical well being. I’ll have a look at these books you have suggested and see if I can fully transition. I luv cocnut yoghurt it’s amazing and the pouring milk i is wit in cooking too 😊
Hey I’ve been aip for 6 weeks now and can honestly say I feel no difference at all! I am still undermediacted but would have thought I might see some benefits by now? Fatigue and energy are main issues and nothing has changed. Wonder if I’ve given it a fair go.. might adopt paleo instead as aip is costing me a fortune without much difference! When did you notice improvements?
Thank you for your extremely detailed reply! I have to say my only symptoms are severe fatigue and zero energy. Neither of which have improved on aip. I think I too lacked carbs in the beginning and perhaps eat more fruit than I should and not enough veggies!!
I don’t have brain fog and I’m not overweight- I’m a size 8. I was on levo for years and tsh was over 4 on 25mcg which I stayed on for 10’years. Since having my daughter I have had the extreme fatigue and it is only now that I find I have been undermedicated. I came off levo, retested and tsh was 9.6 and have since started 5mcg t3 twice a day to increase steadily. I am on adrenal support too.
I know there are so many factors so perhaps the undermediation is why I feel so unwell. The only thing I’ve yet to see on next blood tests is whether or not doing aip has reduced my antibodies. If it has then that will be a small victory at least! I do feel stressed and am quite teary a lot recently because of how unwell I feel and despair at missing out with my little girl who is almost 4 and I have been sick for most of her life.
Perhaps I need to wait and see what the blood test says and maybe I’ll notice better improvements once meds are optimal? X
Thank you. I don’t feel any different yet but have only been on t3 for 2 weeks. I’m hoping I just need to find my sweet spot with it. Yes my endo prescribed it. x
