Try not to worry. Lots of us have been where you are now with either T3 or NDT but keep it low and slow to start with and tell us if you get any symptoms and we can help. It can take a few days to settle down and your body to get used to it, the reason we tread carefully. Plus we can be very different as well but we won't know until we take that first step how we will react so pass on what is happening if that helps you and many will be able to comment on your progress! Here's to improvements!
Thanks i am such a fool, i still didnt have the bottle to take it this morning im so scared, its because i havent had that approval of an endo it worries me (gp says i need a bit) if im doing the right thing and whether i will have some sort of massive panic attack if my body doesnt actually need it.. but then im sat here again with a foggy head tinnitus and feeling so depressed and anxious and feeling guilty that im just not my normal self for my little boys
To be honest i would be able to cope with certain side effects like headaches and palpatations, just not the feeling of a panic attack where i cant breath and think im gonna die thats horrible..
You might have a panic attack, but it's unlikely. You might, on the other hand, fell as though someone had switched the light on in a dark room. Or you might feel nothing at all. You don't know till you try, do you? Just go for it and see what happens. Your GP says you need some, you have gone to the effort of buying some, so just do it!
I’d agree with the advice here, try 6.25mcg, which is quite a small dose, and see how you feel. I definitely felt better within days. When you’ve been on Levo for a while it stays in your system for weeks but t3 lasts only a day or so, so if it really disagrees with you, stop taking it and it’ll be gone quite quickly.
Hi ThyroidObsessed - look, if you want to feel more assured in starting to add T3 at smaller dose than quarter tablet, you could crush quarter into powder & split in two. The above is quite right that quarter grain is small dose, but you might feel more confident in taking smaller dose initially. You can then take the quarter tablet in day or two can't you. 😊
