Google 'Thyrogold'. They are shipped from the USA and are classed as 'supplements ' but contain bovine T4 and T3. Unfortunately you have to pay for them. I'm assuming that you have hypothyroidism, otherwise they could make you very ill.

I have Hashimoto, and currently having really big problems with L-Thyroxin.

But it's difficult to find an endocrinologist who would listen..

thanks a lot for the help

I recently messaged the owner of Thyrogold via the website and she responded. She gave advice on how to transfer from levothyroxine to thyrogold and the equivalent dosage. Still slightly wary of trying them, but the reviews are very good. Just annoying that it would cost £50 every three months to order it.

I have tried many years with L-Thyroxin, and it took me a lot of time to realize that all the side effects I was having came from it.

Thank you for your help, but it seems that L-Thyroxin is not working for me.

I bang on about it all the time, but try different levothyroxine brands for a month at a time and you may find a brand that suit

Yes, you are right about different brands having different affects. The problem is that you also have to factor in doses. Each trial should be run at least 6 weeks. Let's say you check out 4 brands and 3 different doses, that's 12 times 6 weeks, that's about one and a half years. Well, lets see, that's not too bad I guess, that's about as much time as we all fiddle around with our doses anyway before we get it right. Yes, go for it. Chances are you will hit the correct brand/dose combination before a year is up, you could even hit the critical brand/dose after 12 weeks. The only downside I can think of is that one brand may make you so sick that you become discouraged and give up, just be aware that this might happen but keep going with your plan. Obviously if that one brand makes you instantly ill, give up that one immediately and move on to the next brand.
