murielgriffiths, consider checking you husbands vitamin B12 ? In Sally Pacholoks book 'Could It Be B12 Deficiency, an Epidemic of Misdiagnosis.' Parkinson's and Parkinson's dementia are both mentioned as being linked to vitamin B12 deficiency.

Also an idea to check vitamin D blood levels if your husband is often in doors and doesn't get out much as his vitamin D blood levels might be low too, low levels in vitamin D can cause a lot of pains and symptoms on their own, even stiffness when getting up out of chairs and bed (vitamin D is often referred to as the sunshine vitamin)

My Father had both Parkinsons, Parkinsons Dementia and PSP, Looking back, now I have learned, many symptoms my Dad had could also have been down to vitamin B12 deficiency symptoms, unfortunately to my knowledge my Father was never checked for B12 deficiency.

Also anything to do with nerve problemsor neurological can be linked to a vitamin B12 deficiency, also mentioned in Sally Pacholoks book.

There is another site here on Health Unlocked called Pernicious Anemia Society (PAS) also for B12 Deficiency patients, it has a list of symptoms.
