They confirm autoimmune thyroiditis aka Hashimoto's. A strict gluten free diet and supplementing with selenium l-selenomethionine 200mcg daily can help reduce them, as can keeping TSH suppressed.

Gut and absorption problems are caused through Hashi's and I see Slow Dragon has mentioned that in your other thread.
