I notice from reading various posts some take up to 4 grains of NDT per day. I’m 6 foot and 15 1/2 stone and live a far from sedatory lifestyle but I take less than 2 grains per day. I don’t have a thyroid have hashimotos and fibro. I’ve always had a fast metabolism.
Interesting how each and every one of us differ but the medical profession attempts to treat every one the same. I don’t envy them their job.

However having experienced my own issues with levo and Armour intolerance, I can only say that our shared condition on this forum is not 'linear'. By this I mean it is not to be viewed in a linear aspect.
We need also to address our gut Biome. It is the centre of our individual Universe!
Our optimal digestion and food processing capacity is vital for absorbing the vitamins and substances required to make out thyroid medication work for us. Essentially our issues are more like an exponential web of complexity with each individual having different genetics and different responses...but what remains the same for all of us is our gut biome.
Live Probiotics will help to restore a better gut biome which in turn will help you with vitamin absorption, apart from nutrition itself!
Going wheat/gluten/soya/dairy free will help to improve your gut biome.
The Broken Brain Docu-series on the web has been excellent. Omega 3 is highly discussed on this series.
It has just ended but by popular request it has been put up again for 24hrs. Pls see it if you can, it is excellent and could help you.
Improved gut function and absorption will in my opinion help towards processing our thyroid meds better.
Hi Nick, as Poppy says, there are so many factors involved when it comes to metabolism even healthy people have differing levels of FT3. Possibly their adrenals cause a difference as they work together. She mentioned this series if we could only get the doctors to view.
