Need help finding T3

Hi, I'm new , been taking levothyroxine for 9 months, haven't felt so exhausted but still have all the other symptoms ; pain in joints, hair falling out, my pulse/temperature still not normal, my blood pressure has shot up from 105/65 to 135/85. Would like to try a T3 but know my doctor will refuse, due to cost. Can everyone advise on a trusted site/company.

Can you post your latest thyroid test results and dose of Levo. We often find that new members who come asking for sources of T3 actually have other things going on that need addressing before starting T3, like being undermedicated with Levo, autoimmune thyroid disease aka Hashimoto's which hasn't been addressed, low or deficient nutrient levels which mean that no thyroid hormone can work. Very often it's not T3 that's needed but sorting out the other problems.

Ideally we need to see

TSH

FT4

FT3

TPO antibodies

TG antibodies

Vit D

B12

Folate

Ferritin

And if Ferritin is low:

Full blood count

Iron panel

I haven't had a full blood test since I was diagnosed hypo first 3 tests were only TSH, did have T3 and T4 last year, GP finally agreed full test last week, waiting for appointment.

I have been taking my pulse and temperature on a regular basis, which has finally risen to a more normal level, but I did source T3 from France.

If you don't have current FT4 and FT3 taken from the same blood draw then you don't know how well you convert or if you need to add T3. Taking T3 when not needed can lead to health problems.

Always best to get full testing done before considering T3 because whatever the problem is the solution may be with something else. For example, pain in joints is very often low Vit D, fatigue is often low ferritin or iron deficiency anaemia. Absolutely no point in adding T3 if you have low nutrient levels, they need addressing first.

Essential to get correct level of Levothyroxine first. Very likely under medicated, then we get low vitamin levels. These must be corrected first

Plus if you have high thyroid antibodies then this is Hashimoto's and very likely need to be strictly gluten free too

If you get copies of your results and put them on a new post members can advise

TSH should be around one and FT4 towards top of range and FT3 at least half way in range

You have never come back with results

How much Levothyroxine are you currently taking?

Suggest you put up a new post with results and ranges
