There is only an hour or so to view this but the last 30 mins. are entirely focused on Hashimoto and worth viewing.

I thought this series was really good and I was surprised how much thyroid stuff came up in it. And they were so specific! wasn't anything about 'go ask your doctor' but rather 'make sure you get these exact tests' as well as the more indepth analyses.

I agree. You can tell by doing that they are more interested in helping us than selling us. I have a completely different view of Hashimoto's and autoimmune conditions due to their discoveries. Believe me they are not approved by mainstream doctors. But we know how they feel about thyroid patients.

Missed this because of family problems, anywhere else I can see this?

The first time it was streamed was October so I imagine they will do it again at some point. I think if you sign up at Mark's website you will be notified. You could probably go to some of the doctors' websites or Facebook page. I know it's hard to retain all the information.

I did make a few notes.

Fats are one of the most important nutrients for our brain

omega 3, as good for bipolar as drugs….good for heart, skin, bones, treats arthritis, blood clots. Cod liver oil has 3, A, D, sardines wild salmon, herring, mackerel, anchovie, walnut,t flax seeds, purified fish oil, DHA, Choline in egg yolks.

CHOLESTEROL, the body loves saturated fats 50% of breast milk is fat. Saturated means it can't be oxidised and will have no free radicals. People with low cholesterol have a higher incidence of dementia it's critical to cell membrane. Oxidized LDL correlates with sugar A high AIc will let you know you have bad ldl. High sugar and high LDL will change your microbiome and you will not lose weight until you change your microbiome again. There are possibly 100 million people who are prediabetic due to changes in microbiome and they cannot lose because the body thinks they are starving.

AMINO ACIDs build docking stations for 8 or 9 essential amino acids. These are raw material for cell membranes.

PROTEINS ** The distribution of quality proteins is important. You should try to have 30 grams at each meal or 2 grams glutine to trigger protein- muscle synthesis. Your brain can’t work without amino acids that come from meat, fish, chicken, nuts, and beans.

CARBOHYDRATES Our body must have carbs and phytonutrients. This can come from vegetables and nuts. You should not get them from flour and sugar. Colorful fruits and vegetables are anti-

Inflammatory and detoxify as well. Folate, B6, B12, D, Zinc, Selenium methionine, magnesium and these improve receptors in our brain.

For our brain, tyrosine. essential fats, b12, b6, which can work better than medications .

There are three main system that communicate and direct all traffic. Hormones from the Endocrine, cytokines are messengers of the Immune and neurotransmitters messengers from the nervous system.

Psycho-Neural-Endocrine-Immune system or P N E I. Each has their own language.

We have an epidemic of too much insulin, too much cortisol and not enough thyroid.

High fructose and sugar in diet cause the cells which can no longer use glucose to shut down and become insulin resistant and also injures neurotransmitter.

TPO antibodies may also attach to the brain. encephalopathy can be the result. The** longer it takes to be diagnosed the more your brain can become inflamed because of low thyroid.

Neurofilament and myelin antibodies are found in the brain. So depression and fatigue are brain based.

Hypothyroidism may not show a high TSH for years but the antibodies should be tested when symptoms arrive. Even if TSH looks normal those antibodies may have begun to attack the thyroid years before. Then look at root cause. Is the liver toxic, is the gut healthy, is there chronic infection even inside the gland** Sometimes gluten, dairy, and soy often may be the only necessary changes to be made. Toxins like flame retardants, fluoride, chemical based personal products also avoiding plastic use glass. So eat a whole foods diet either paleo or autoimmune paleo diet add selenium methionine may reduce hair loss and anxiety, thiamine 600 mg, reduce fatigue.

Cortisol influences brain and when you are in a chronic fight or flight it will cause fatigue so check saliva cortisol. After cortisol is raised it has to be detoxified and turned off or detoxed needed to get rid of stress more adrenaline but should go down eventually shuts down your brain sex hormones act on the brain estogen in the brain is protective but too much causes breast cancer levels drop in pms with bio adenical progesterone reduces anxiety body as natural valium. Hormones out of balance need exercise, alcohol prevents excretion of excess estrogen. 2/3 of the brain are immune/glial cells or which are there to fight foreign invaders, chronic high cortisol is an alarm cytokines can promote or reduce inflammation when trigger by toxins. When out of control cortisol starts fires anywhere. Two tests for brain - crp and gluten sensitivity recommended. Diet can be inflammatory or anti-inflammatory. Food allergens Imbalance in digestive function…. Untested low grade hidden infections….. Sedentary inadequate sleep…. Nutritional deficiency are triggers.

Fix gut. sugar grows bad bacteria, eat fermented food garlic, rosemary, oregano, olive help manage microbes more than probiotics it's how you feed good bacteria, also diverse food, don’t eat the same things every day. Eat the stalks stems for fiber.

Hidden brain inflammation cause almost all brain disease. Find the source.
