You have Hashimoto's disease and it's highly likely that your vitamin levels etc will be trashed. You need tests for TSH, T4, T3, Iron, ferritin, folate, Vit B12, Vit D and post results on here. If your vit levels are not optimal you will not be able to use thyroid hormones properly. and will likely not feel too good

TSH 4.6 (0.2 - 4.2)

FT4 13.8 (12 - 22)

FT3 3.1 (3.1 - 6.8)

Taking 25mcg levo

Endo wont increase

Ferritin 17 (15 - 150)

Folate 2.0 (2.5 - 19.5)

Vitamin B12 193 (190 - 900)

Vitamin D 26.2

Iron 7 (6 - 26)

Another idiot/useless endo. When you are on levo your TSH should be below one. Your T4 and T3 are too low in range and vitamin levels are terrible. How are you functioning with results like that? You need supplements and more levo.

Hopefully others on here can advise how you go about getting levo increased when endo won't do it. See if your GP is on the ball and will do something! check out Seaside Susie on here for advice about supplements.

Thank you I don't know how I am functioning with results like that, my sleep is very disturbed, hands shaking, losing weight, sweating, memory loss, periods heavy, dry eyes, goitre, pins and needles. Endo says results should be better on 25mcg levo

25mcg is a very low starter dose and often it makes you feel worse as the thyroid stops producing as much hormone when the introduced hormone is sensed by the body .You need more and blood tests every6-8 weeks to change the dose until TSH is around 1 or below and FT4 and FT3 above half way through the range.

I can only repeat your endo is a complete idiot and is seriously compromising your health. If GP won't help then I would suggest you go to A&E. Once you are being given the correct treatment you might feel up to putting in a formal complaint about the endo! I cannot write what I would like to do to him. Please do make an urgent appointment to see your GP
