Deenae,

You are undermedicated to have TSH 5.6 on 175mcg. Ask your GP or endo to increase dose.

The goal of Levothyroxine is to restore the patient to euthyroid status. For most patients that will be when TSH is 0.3 - 1.0 with FT4 in the upper range. FT4 needs to be in the upper range in order that sufficient T3 is converted. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Email dionne.fulcher@thyroiduk.org if you would like a copy of the Pulse article to show your GP.

Ask your GP to test Vit D, B12, Folate and Ferritin. Deficiencies in these can cause problems with conversion.

PS Always write the ranges when posting your results.

Free T4 12 - 22

Free T3 3.1 - 6.8

TSH 0.2 - 4.2

Ferritin 3 (30 - 400)

Folate 1.4 (2.5 - 19.5)

Vitamin B12 145 (180 - 900)

Vitamin D 10 (>25)

Have you had T3 prescribed and then stopped?

Your vitamins are absolutely terrible

What has GP prescribed?

They should do blood test for coeliac disease

Ferritin is extremely low. You need full iron panel and very likely an iron infusion

B12 needs testing for Pernicious Anaemia before several B12 injections as "loading dose"

Folate supplements should not be started until after first B12 injection

Loading dose of vitamin D

Presumably you have Hashimoto's also called autoimmune thyroid disease diagnosed by high thyroid antibodies?

Have you got TPO and TG antibodies results?

See detailed supplements advice from SeasideSusie in these posts

Low vitamins due to under medication

Looks as though you need an iron infusion and to be tested for pernicious anaemia (low folate and B12). You also need a loading dose of vitamin D as you have a sever deficiency. What is you GP doing about those dreadful results?

Not what you're looking for?
