I rang Blue Horizon today about mucking up my test yesterday, and they very kindly are sending me out another one today ...so pleased this time I know what I am doing and I WILL get it right, and will find out why I am feeling so poorly all the time.

Thanks so much BlueHorizonMedicals .

Blue Horizon are very good, great that they are sending you another kit. And you get another chocolate :)

Good luck with the next test, I hope you manage to fill the two tubes. Have a bowl of hot water handy to warm your hand up if blood flow stops, and you can try a different finger. I get best flow from ring finger, left hand. And I stand on a little stool so my arm is as straight as possible, gravity will help the blood flow.

Thanks so much Susie without your support and advice that I read from you daily as well as Clutter who has been also very helpful... you have both got me onto my feet again, especially with the vitamins etc. which I have now been taking for 3 months just started taking Selenium by Cytoplan yesterday. I will have to do my test on Thursday morning I will take my time and send it as your advice in previous post... I am in no hurry as long as I receive them in the new year I can then ring my Endo up with results. And it will be good to know my own results as I never seen my results they are just written down ...I think I rang 2 months ago and only got TSH and vitamin results... so this will be very informative for me because I have known for 2 years plus that something is not right, with my thyroid, even though I have been to a GP who doesn't want to know and an endo who is not much better.

Thank you

I think it might be worth checking with Blue Horizon about the timing of this test as it's Christmas.

Firstly, if you send by Special Delivery Next Day by 1pm, even though it's guaranteed, it can fail to be delivered on time (I've had two failures, both took 48 hours). There's probably no point in it being delivered on Saturday and the lab being closed for a few days over Christmas.

Secondly, will the lab have time to process your tests if it does manage to arrive on Friday? I'm having blood taken at my surgery on Friday morning at 11.10am. When the receptionist booked it, she had to ask if it would be worth actually doing it that day (to NHS lab of course) due to their Christmas holiday times.
