Has anyone found they are responding differently to Morningside's Liothyronine? I just switched to it from the previous manufacturer a couple of weeks ago and have had a few episodes of a fuzzy brain. Hard to be sure as I also have narcolepsy, but the timing is making me suspicious. I have left a note for my GP asking her to give me a private script so I can buy some from Germany and see what I am like on them.

Bellk,
Why don't you ask your pharmacist to get you Mercury Pharma T3, or Teva T3, if that's what you were taking and prefer?
I started Morningside's Liothyronine about 6 weeks ago and haven't noticed any difference X
Does morningside have lactose in it? Is there any dairy free nhs T3s?
I think I may have the answer-opposite of what I thought. I stopped and considered that in the last couple of weeks I have washed 2 carpets, rearranged my woodshed and felt motivated to restart digitising music. Great you would think, sounds like good levels in the body. But at the same time my sleep (always a problem for people with narcolepsy) has been awful, a series of 1+1/2 naps. My current theory is the Morningside Lio works better but the cost is poor sleep, which makes the narcolepsy more of a problem and me more vulnerable to microsleeps. So I will drop my dose by 10mcg and see how it goes.
That's very interesting - I had some positive side-effects from the Morningside T3: more motivated & more energised, but then these were overtaken by very serious negative side-effects: namely horrendously high blood pressure & pulse, so I had to track down some Mercury Pharma T3 & go back to that - took ages to settle down.
One side-effect of the Morningside T3, that I didn't take much notice of, was that I woke much earlier and couldn't keep my eyes open in the late afternoon/early evening. I thought that it was because I was managing to do more & was more tired, but now just wondering if the Morningside T3 was adversely impacting my sleep.....
That sounds like a distinct possibility. I found I was ok when I dropped my dose from 70 to 60 mcg a day, sleep improved at once. But then the next script dispensed and they give me the stuff from Teva this time. So I decided to be cautious, started on 60 mcg, gave it a week and symptoms coming back so raised it to 70. But this has coincided with bladder problems, I won't know if it is connected until I get some Lio from Morningside again. This is a pain!
Hi I have too been switched to morning side. I take 40 mcg a day. Wondering of I should lower my dose or take more. For the last week I have had maybe 2 to 3 hours sleep a night. I just can't sleep. It's driving me crazy. I have been more active in the day as well which is good. Does anyone have any advice pls not sure what to do?
