Hi everybody, NDT prices have risen again!!! I am seriously thinking of changing to T3 only. I currently take 6 grains of westthroid, can someone please advice on brand name of T3 as I have a doctor who is very helpful, thank god, or maybe cheaper to buy online? And also can I do a straight swap over, without taking any kind of T4??

If you feel well on NDT, why not buy it from Thailand? It's both cheap and works as well as other brands of NDT, at least in my experience. I switched to Thai NDT a couple of years ago, after trying both Armour and Erfa, and it even works better for me at a fraction of the cost.

Those who switch to T3 only are most often people who don't tolerate T4 for some reason. If NDT works for you, I'm not sure T3 only will...you might feel terrible when your FT4 levels drop.

No idea, I take nature thyroid here, but they are being discontinued so pharmacy have given me wp thyroid but double the price unfortunately

Is Nature Throid being discontinued?! But it has been around as long as Armour...you mean your pharmacy will no longer be carrying it, I hope, as many people depend on it.

As I've already said, I am doing great on Thai NDT, and I know many others are as well. 1000 pills cost around 100 USD.

As far as I know they are being discontinued unfortunately, that's what my pharmacy told me 😢 she can only get me WP thyroid now, which is double the price. I am looking into Thai NDT now, what is your Thai NDT called?

I take Thyroid-S, but there is another brand called Thiroyd which many patients do great on. A third one is rather new and called TR, but few people seem to be on it so there aren't many reviews...which brand you do best on is all about trial and error, I'm afraid...although I think that Thyroid-S is closer to Naturethroid and Armour, in that it contains cellulose, and that Thiroyd is closer to Erfa and WP (no cellulose). Both brands are very good, though.
