Hello Debs,

This seems well worth trying. If tis been around for a couple of thousand years I'd say its 'tried and tested' wouldn't you!!

MY initial experience with acupuncture was with a local company called Dr China- I assume they were local. It was not a good experience in fact it was a total waste of over £800 when I was desperate for some relief.

The Chinese lady who performed the acupuncture apart from being very brusque, spoke not a word of English. The issue was that the bed did not have a hole in it in order to place one's face/head into it when needing to lie down on one's front for the needles to be inserted on one's back! I could not lie there all that time with my head stuck out sideways- in fact this position did nothing but aggravate my situation a 1,000 fold.

Being the stoic that I am I persisted, but felt no benefit whatsoever from acupuncture and as a result was rather depressed and disappointed to say the least... when I declined further sessions, the young man translating, came running after me and offered the whole course again for a knock down price of £150- that sealed it, I was definitely not going back!!

Then over 10 years later, still with the same pain, but worse which by now also included my lower back which had left me virtually unable to walk, my wonderful GP sent me on a 6 session course with a British Acupuncturist in our local physio department.

Sceptical though willing to try anything I went ahead.

What a revelation!!!

Gift for the Gods is not other way to describe it. The woman was so gifted and so skillful.

Her acupuncture worked a treat!! It was amazing. Sadly my penny-pinching practice will not allow my GP to send me back even if it is 2 years later...and the wonderful Jenny has been moved on elsewhere.

But for me, Jenny's fantastic acupuncture which if I remember correctly was a Western/Eastern hybrid, and she had been practising for over 20 years was AMAZING.

I shall definitely be brewing your tea though- so thank-you!

I've made your ginger tea just now and as I have been having voice problems for a while and following exercises given by the Speech Therapist, I thought your tea might just do the trick :)
