Hi have tried gluten free and not noticed any difference. I haven't had a migraine in about 5 years. After 3 weeks gluten free I had my first then about 3 days after I reintroduced (had some bread on the Friday night nothing else then migraine on the Monday eve) could it be withdrawals?
Thanks x

Gluten can affect us in all sorts of ways if sensitive, both taking it and withdrawing from it. It is quite possible the migraines are linked to it. How long did you trial gluten free for? It is recommended that it is trialled for at least 3 months. In my case I didn't really notice a difference in the first few months, but 6 months after starting I accidentally had some gluten and had a severe reaction. It does take a while for the villi lining the gut and the stomach lining to recover enough to show an actual noticeable reaction.
I did it for 3 months after 3 weeks had the first migraine. Had bread for the first time in 3 months but no other gluten then 4 days after had the second. Thanks x
