Are you beta thalassemia carrier? I think you would be, rather than alpha.
Your TSH is not bad but you also need other thyroid tests. More experienced people will respond but I can suggest getting tested for FT3, FT4 and TSH at the same time early in the morning. You mentioned in your first post that your GP wanted to check your thyroid so go back and tell them you want full thyroid test including the above tests.
I don't know the answer to position of hba1c test in context of thalassemia trait. Sorry.
I think you should be seen by an endocrinologist particularly if your report mentions HBA1C.
I personally don't think thalassemia is the cause of your tiredness. I am saying this because I am a carrier too.
I think next step is to get tested for the above tests as well as vitamin D, folate, Ferritin and vitamin B12. Don't take any supplements without first getting these tests done. So these 4 plus TSH, FT3, FT4, thyroid antibodies (tpoAb and tgAb). And ask GP to do the serum fructosamine test.its on the report. They should have done it themselves but they won't move their finger unless told. Or may be it needs doing under certain conditions.
I dont know anything about neuropenia (as mentioned by you in other forum). I am guessing your ferritin would be low as you were prescribed iron tablets last year (as mentioned there).
And if hba1c is mentioned adversely, ask your GP to explain and do something about it. Once tested, post your results here and someone will respond. I have received lot of help and support here.
Good luck
