Hi I have been diagnosed finally since 2010 been on NDT for past 2years as Levo did nothing for my symptoms had no life doctor not interested take vitamin supplements but still have skin problems for last 7years dermatologist not helpful now got plantar fasciitis had for year

When did you last have a blood test? If you are self-medicating you need to have a blood test at least once every couple of years, and particularly if your symptoms return. You are probably one of the 90% of hypothyroid people who have antibodies and therefore need an increasing dose of thyroid meds as the years go by (until their thyroid packs up completely). I would recommend a private blood test from Medichecks or Blue Horizon. The Thyroid plus 11 would be a good choice because it gives you tests for Ferritin and B12 too. There's no point in taking supplements you don't need, or taking too little of a supplement you need more of. I think the blood test costs under £100, and it's a finger prick home test I believe.
