I use Actavis Levothyroxine. Years ago I was on Eltroxin, named brand by my GP, then it disappeared. I was very wary of changing and spoke to the pharmacist. He said if I got on OK with Actavis then he would mark my record that I must have that dispensed each time. I've used it ever since and had no problems or side effects.

wowserclo,

I am OK on Actavis - which is also packaged as Almus and Northstar. However, my experience might not be the same as yours.

Thanks everyone. Would you all say activis is better than mercury pharma?

wowserclo, Some people do very well on MercuryPharma, others don't. But in the end, it really doesn't matter what everyone else says. The best brand for you is the one that works for you and you'll only find that out by trial and error unfortunately.

Yep, on this at the minute nothing but joint aches & stiffness.

Hi, since my surgery 10mths ago I've been using Activis, Mercury Pharma and now Teva, I've had lots of issues but no idea whether it's to TT/RAI or any of these med brands (except I do know some of my symptoms were due to two hundred high dosage

I struggle to establish if brands effect me.

Has anyone orchestrated testing of brands via GP or Endo? If yes, how did you argue case?
