After a longish battle with infertility and 2 failed ivfs (Due to low ovarian reserve as a result of hypothyroidism), I’m 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I have my first midwife appointment but not til 6th November. I just wondered what I should expect or do in respect of thyroid meds? Currently on 175 a day Levo. My levels were last TSH 1.5 and T4 19.5, TPO antibodies down to 45. Haven’t had a fully detailed check since last year which I had to do via medichecks.
I think I’ve read that you should increase by 25mg as soon as you find out - but I feel ok at the moment like if I increase to 200 I’ll be hyper. Just my GP just said book with the midwife and congratulations and no mention of when to next check thyroid.
Obviously I want to manage my thyroid as best I can to keep this precious pregnancy with the best chances.
Thanks to anyone who can advise xx

I should add that this is natural, so I’m not getting the monitoring that I would have if it was an ivf pregnancy. I was on 75mg DHEA for 10 months to increase my estrogen and testosterone which I have now had to stop.
Thyroid levels should be rechecked. The TSH of pregnant women should be between 0.4 - 2.5 during the first trimester when the foetus is dependent on maternal thyroid hormone.
