Does anyone else with hashimotos not only feel tired, but feel ill with it.To me its a feeling all over of weakness , no stamina, funny feeling of all the cells in my body in disarray.Feeling warm, aches, wieght gain and apathy. On the outside I look OK,but on the inside I feel like a zombie.A general malaise, does anyone feel like this.It is hard to explain a feeling to Drs.

Your not on your own ..I feel S#@t ..always!...I can't seem to get right..!Docs are not interested and on the outside apart from my recent hairloss I look like quite a doll for my 50 yr as i dont usually look like S#@t....so they think it's all in my head or down to something else instead but shove you out of the door anyways!..I know it's not in my head and I remember how I felt before all this crap entered my life lol!

Thanks for replying lozzer66,it is comforting to know I am not alone.Dr said to me it is not your thyroid.Have been on Thyroxine for years then suddenly got so bad ,had to stop work.I feel for you.All other test are normal for which I am grateful, but so frustrating not knowing how to heal myself.I am now on thyroxine and t3.

.I've been self medicating and faffing about on ndt for last 18mth after few yr on t4 only. Totally unsure which way to go ..different brand ndt/levo and ndt/levo and t4/levo and t3/.t3 only...jump off a building lol!but yes you so are not alone. ..neither am I ....we are all here on this website as we feel crap and feel let down by those who we believed would help us ...it's hard going alone but we cant make it any worse than how we were medicated/treated in the first place ..Have you sourced your own t3?Do you not feel better than before?

It does help me to cope.Like you tried every other type NDT,t3 only.Iam lucky as I get t3 on script on NHS,I live in Scotland. There is an active petition in Scottish Government about the different tests and treatments, hopefully it will changes things.

hi susiebow,

yes, I get that "dead tired" feeling sometimes. it enters my head from the top, like heavy, empty. I know then I need to lay down.

if happened during the day, I just lay down for a time, might even sleep some. if in the evening....I just knock out cold; deep sleep.

I sometimes think it comes with depression, even if I don't feel depressed.

doctors arn't interested in an explanation, so I don't tell them.

Hi susiebow

I think I can relate to how you are feeling. I regularly feel the same way. I liken it to how I feel the day after I've had a sickness virus. The sickness has gone but you feel so weak and depleted inside. I've tried all sorts of thyroid medication, both natural and synthetic, and my body doesn't seem to like to change from anything but 100mcg Levo. I see a private integrated practitioner and he has done a lot of hormone tests very recently. (I've had lots of help with from the wonderful community here with the results). He tells me I am basically 'running on empty' and I am now on the start of a journey to adjust and replenish my hormones. A week in and I do feel a little better so fingers crossed 🤞.

I'm sorry it's such a long post but I'm trying to say that it's not always just the thyroid hormone that is at fault, other hormones may be playing an active part in why we feel so bad as do vitamin and mineral levels.

I hope you find the solution that you need. It can be a long journey (mine has lasted 40 years so far) and the trick is not to stop trying which is easier said than done.

Take care and I hope you feel better soon

Yes me too i have the crappy hashis, yawn yawn, sleep, sleep, ha. Achey muscles like you are coming down with a flu and exhausted, i too are off work because im hyper too. Its rubbish, i dont say anything to the doctors as they know less than my 12 year old daughter about it. Im not wasting precious time trying to explain to a useless gp.xxx
