Adrenavive or Adreno-Lyph-Plus?

Not being able to get NAX which worked perfectly for years am going to try either adrenavive or adreno-lyph-plus. Can anyone tell me whether they found one better than other? Most seem to be taking adrenavive II though I read someone preferred Adreno-Lyph. Any help with this?

I take Adrenavive iii, this is the strongest of this brand. I've not used Adreno-lyph so can't give a comparison. I've been told adrenal Cortex works better than adrenal extract.

Could I ask where you buy the Adrenavive iii? Husband and I were on NAX for years under private medical supervision and we both still need it. I'm taking pregnenolone, but on its own it doesn't quite do the job for me. I've also taken HC, but it's so expensive now.

I take 500mg on waking and 250mg at midday. At my worst I also took 100mg at 4pm of Nutri adrenal. Thorne also do a 100 mg of raw adrenal Cortex.

Adrenal Cortex has a different role to HC! Cortex supports the adrenals whereas HC works by doing the job your adrenals should be doing giving you the cortisol you require to get through the day.

Thanks very much for your help.

I was taking a two-pronged approach for a long time, NAX to support the adrenals and HC to replace the cortisol my adrenals couldn't make (my 24 hr cortisol output is dire). Taking prenenolone has been an attempt to boost my own production of cortisol and DHEA.

HC, hydrocortisone? What labs are you all watching for your adrenals? Cortisol, pregnenolone, etc.?

We do the 24 hr saliva adrenal stress profile and were advised progress would be slow, so it's only done once every 12-18 months. I've been ill for decades, so improvements come very slowly.

Is tat a test by your doctors? I’m in USA and would like to do the test. I’m like you, sick 10 years w/ avalanche of concurrent health dilemmas that doctors didn’t want to hear, thus leaving me to forge solo for most part. Turns out, God intervened, and I was taken in by a neurologist (10 years post crime survival and cascade of health failure) who did FMRI, discovering drastic brain injury which had and continues to affect all my systems, i. e. the adrenals, sex hormones, vision, smell, immune system failure (viral, bacterial, and fungi infections) not to mention extreme pain, fatigue, and brain limitations.... all from brain injury. Integrative approaches are what saved me and prevented me from being a statistic! Kudos to this doc, too, Marcus Spurlock, Plano, TX.

I'm really sorry to hear of your troubles. The consequences of brain injury can be vast, and very difficult to manage. I'm glad you've found a sympathetic neurologist.

There's a lot of info about thyroid and adrenal problems, whatever the origin, and there should be details somewhere of US labs who do the 24 hr saliva profile. I know one company is Genova, but I think you have a few other options over there.

I’ve used adrenavive successfully, although as with NAX they should be for short term/temporary use. Adrenals can restore their strength & cortisol levels can and do change.

I think ideally that is true. However, I spoke to Dr Peatfiield about this and he admitted that depending on the level of adrenal insufficiency, long term use may be required - he has been on adrenal support for a number of years now

I’ve seen Dr Peatfield too, & I know he uses them long term. All I can share is my experience, my low cortisol changed after using adrenavive. My cortisol would have continued to raise if I had continued using this. I test my adrenals every 6 months now, as my status changes depending on life events and level of stress.

I looked up this product, intrigued by these comments. Isn’t it the “bovine adrenal cortex” you’re mainly seeking? 250mg in the Adenavive iii? Has anyone tried purchasing bovine alone? Also, are y’all doing minerals?
