Pregnant-Thyroid Results

Hello Everyone.

I had a partial thyroidectomy2 yrs ago and been on 50mcg of Levothyroxine ever since. I am 15 weeks pregnant and presently on 75mcg. Just had a TFT done and here is my result:

T4 11.0 - Range 7.2 - 16.4

T3 4.8 - Range 3.8 -6.0

TSH 0.295 - Range 0.380 -5.330

Just want to be sure we're both doing great, had a miscarriage earlier this year.

These numbers look good, so as long as you feel OK I wouldn't worry. It is a little bit unusual to have an average fT3 on levothyroxine when fT3 is only mid-interval but I'm guessing the other half of your thyroid is putting out a little more T3. A TSH of 0.295 means you have a fair way to go before it gets to 2.5 or 3.0 which are the usual upper limits in pregnanacy.
