I 'make' my own. Water Kefir is really easy (see You Tube). I also make fermented cabbage and fermented carrot. Again, it is quite easy to do. These will be far better than any shop-bought supplements. You want a variety of pro-biotics or one dominates , and that can be a bad thing.
And yes, I have found them to be very beneficial.

You can buy kefir grains on the internet, but be aware they take a week or so to acclimatise after travel as they get stressed without food. Mine were initially undrinkably yeasty for the first three days, then became less disgusting over the following week. By the third week, I had lovely kefir, & they started to grow. Be aware that it's alive, so has to be kept in an ambient condition, & that it's happiest reproducing in unhomogenised full fat organic milk, as the kefir grains eat the fat to grow, as well as the sugar it uses to ferment.

You can buy it ready made, butat £2.95 a 500ml bottle. It's not going to be very live after sitting on a shop shelf for a week, & the cheap brands are not organic.
